Description

A 13g recorder in a USB flash drive body, with voice activated recording so a charge is spent on speech rather than on silence.

Up to 25 hours of continuous recording, 8GB of internal memory, and a recharge time of about 90 minutes. It reads as a drive on Windows, so files come off without software.

Features

Twenty five hours per charge: A full charge covers several days of meetings, and a recharge takes about 90 minutes.
Voice activated recording: It starts when there is sound and pauses through silence, so the runtime is spent on speech.
8GB of internal memory: Nothing to insert, nothing to lose, and no card reader needed at either end.
Reads as a drive: Plug it into a Windows computer and the files are there. No software, no app, no proprietary format.
One touch operation: Start and stop without a menu, which is what matters when the thing you want on record has already begun.
13 grams: Light enough to live on a lanyard or in a pocket without being something you have to decide to bring.

Applications

Where This Works Best

Ideal for discreet note-taking, meeting minutes, and low-profile evidence capture where quick one-press control and a familiar USB form factor are essential. After recording, connect to a PC to manage files like a normal flash drive, no special software required.

How it Works

Charge it: About 90 minutes brings it to full, which is up to 25 hours of continuous recording.
Record: Voice activated recording starts on sound and pauses through silence, which is what makes a small cell last a long session.
Plug it in: It appears as a drive on a Windows computer, so the files copy off with nothing to install.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start a recording?

Use the single control button to begin and end recording, no menus or apps are required.

What is Voice Activation Recording?

VAR starts recording automatically when sound is detected and pauses during silence to save power and storage.

How long can it record on one charge?

Up to 25 hours of continuous recording under typical use; VAR can extend effective capture time.

How do I access my files?

Plug the device into a computer and open it like a standard USB drive, then copy the audio files.

Which computers are supported?

It works with Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and 11 without special software.

Is it legal to record audio in Australia?

Recording your own dictation, a meeting where everyone knows it is recording, or sound in your own empty home, vehicle or site is lawful. Surveillance devices laws differ by state and territory: recording a conversation you are part of is allowed in some states and restricted in others, and recording a private conversation you are not part of is generally not allowed. This is general information, not legal advice.
