Description

You are out on the bike, the water or the slope, the phone stays in your pocket, and the moment you wanted is over by the time you could have got to a camera.

These polarised sunglasses record what you are looking at in 1080p at 30fps through a pinhole lens in the frame, with 15 megapixel stills on demand. UV400 lenses cut glare on water and snow, an IP66 rating covers rain, sweat and spray, and 32GB of built in memory means no card to lose or corrode. One button starts and stops recording, and it works with gloves on. Up to 60 minutes of continuous recording per charge.

Features

Records your perspective: 1080p at 30fps from eye level through a pinhole lens in the frame, plus 15 megapixel stills at 4480 x 3360.
Polarised UV400 lenses: Real sunglasses that cut glare and lift contrast, which matters on water, snow and wet road as much as it does for the footage.
IP66 against weather: Rated for rain, sweat and splashes. Not rated for submersion, so they are not a surf or dive camera.
32GB built in, nothing to lose: All footage saves to internal memory. There is no card slot, and files come off over the USB cable.
One button, one second: A single control turns the camera on and starts or stops recording, and it works with gloves on.
Light enough to forget: 45 g on the face, with a 62 degree lens that takes in the scene without the barrel distortion a very wide lens brings.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Mountain biking trails

Technical descents with both hands on the bars and nothing to spare for a camera. These record the whole run from where you are looking, the IP66 rating shrugs off mud and rain, and the polarised lenses cut the glare off wet rock and leaf litter so you can read the trail while you are filming it.

Ski and snowboard runs

Polarised lenses handle snow glare while the camera records the descent, and at 45 g there is nothing extra on your head. The single button works through gloves, so you press at the top and press again at the lift.

On and around the water

Paddling, fishing and boat work, where glare is the enemy and a phone in a pocket is not coming out. IP66 covers spray and a soaking. It does not cover going under, so treat these as splash proof rather than waterproof and keep them out of the surf.

How it Works

Charge over USB: Plug in the included cable. A full charge takes about two hours and gives up to 60 minutes of continuous recording.
Press once to record: A single button starts 1080p video at 30fps from the pinhole lens in the frame. Press again to stop.
Offload over USB: Connect to a computer and the glasses mount as a removable drive. Drag the files off. No app, no WiFi and no drivers, on Windows or macOS.

Specifications

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get the videos off the glasses?

Connect the included USB cable to a computer and the glasses appear as a removable drive. Drag and drop the files. There is no app and no software to install.

Are they waterproof?

They are IP66 rated, which means water resistant against heavy rain, sweat and splashes. That is not the same as waterproof: do not submerge them and do not take them into the surf.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 60 minutes of continuous recording, and about two hours to recharge over USB.

Can I use my own SD card?

No. These use 32GB of built in memory and have no card slot at all.

Can I get them with my prescription?

No. They ship as standard polarised sunglasses and the lenses are not prescription compatible.

Where can I use a camera like this in Australia?

Owning and wearing a camera like this is lawful in Australia, and so is filming in public places and on property you own or control. Surveillance devices laws differ by state and territory, and filming people where they expect privacy, such as a bathroom or bedroom, or recording a private conversation you are not part of, is generally not allowed. This is general information, not legal advice.
