Applications

Real-World Scenarios

A Build With No Power Yet

Tools and materials walk off a site that sits empty overnight, and there is rarely mains power to run a camera from. Solar means no cable to install and none to cut, 10x zoom identifies faces and number plates from the street, and the alert reaches your phone before they are off the property.

Gates And Stock You Cannot Get To

When the paddock is a long way from the house, a gate left open is not something you find out about quickly. Live streaming over WiFi shows what is happening now, and remote pan and tilt lets you scan driveways and pasture without walking out to them.

A Holiday House Between Visits

An empty holiday house for months at a time is exactly what people look for. The solar panel keeps it running without anyone visiting to charge anything, human detection filters out the wildlife that would otherwise fill your phone with alerts, and two way audio lets you speak up from wherever you are.

How it Works

The camera connects to your WiFi network. Solar panel charges the internal battery during daylight. Live video and alerts stream directly to your smartphone app. Footage saves to onboard SD card (not included) for backup. No monthly fees with local storage; optional cloud backup available.

Specifications

Power: 5V, 2A maximum. Use the adapter supplied, or a standard 5V USB charger or power bank rated 2A or less. Do not use fast chargers (USB-C PD, Quick Charge, Super Fast Charging) or high-output power banks: they can damage the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Does this work without WiFi?

Yes, it requires WiFi for remote viewing. However, it can record locally to the SD card without an internet connection.

2. How long does the battery last without sun?

The solar panel is designed to keep the battery charged during daylight. In extended cloudy conditions, the internal battery provides backup power for continued operation.

3. Can I view live footage from anywhere?

Yes. Free smartphone app (iOS/Android) shows live stream, recorded footage, and sends motion alerts when connected to your home WiFi network.

4. Is it waterproof?

Yes. IP66 rating protects against heavy rain and dust.

5. What's the difference between the two lenses?

Dual lens system combines wide-angle view (110° detection) with 10X optical zoom lens. You can view both simultaneously or switch between them.
