A 3MP Black Light sensor is what makes this camera worth having after dark: it is built to pull a usable picture out of very little light before the infrared has to come on at all.

The VIM-4GSOL3B-10X records 1920x1080 at 30fps with 10X optical zoom on a PTZ head that pans 355 degrees and tilts 100. Infrared at 840nm reaches 30 metres and white light gives full colour over the same distance. A 0.2 second trigger sensor and AI human detection work across a 95 degree angle with 120 degrees of PIR coverage out to 12 metres. An adjustable 8 Watt panel charges six 18650 cells, a 4G SIM from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone connects it, and storage is a memory card or the cloud. The IP66 body is 195 by 103 by 100mm and the system weighs 2kg.

How it Works

Mount and angle the panel: The 8 Watt panel is 200 by 150mm and adjustable. Set it for winter sun rather than summer, because winter is what decides whether the camera stays up.
Insert a data SIM: 4G on bands B1 to B40 with a SIM from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone. Live view and PTZ control run from the phone with no broadband on site.
Set detection and zoom presets: AI human detection with a 0.2 second trigger is what catches someone arriving. Save the zoom positions you care about and record on motion to the memory card.
