Description

A holiday house is empty for most of the year, and the broadband is usually the first thing switched off. The VIM-4GLX-2 works around that by taking a 4G SIM, so the camera is reachable whether or not anyone is paying for a connection at the property.

It streams 1080p over the mobile network to Android, iOS or Windows, covers a room or an entrance with a 110 degree lens, and sees about 10 metres on 840nm infrared after dark. Motion detection sends a snapshot and an alert to your phone, two way audio lets you speak through the camera, and recording runs either on motion or continuously to a microSD card up to 128GB. It runs from a 12V 2A mains adapter.

Features

4G remote live viewing: Watch live video and review recordings from your Android or iOS phone, tablet or Windows computer using the mobile app when you are away from the property.
HD video with night monitoring: 1080p high definition video and infrared LEDs capture clear images during the day and at night so entrances and rooms remain visible around the clock.
Two-way audio and voice monitoring: Built-in microphone and speaker let you listen in and speak through the camera to verify alarms, greet visitors or deter intruders in real time, with video and audio saved together for playback.
Smart motion alerts and local recording: Motion detection and snapshots trigger notifications to your phone, while motion-activated or continuous 24/7 recording with time and date stamps stores footage on the micro SD card for later review.
Wide viewing coverage: The wide lens helps cover more of each room or yard, reducing blind spots and the number of cameras needed for effective monitoring.

Applications

How It Fits Into Your Security

Use the VIM-4GLX-2 to keep an eye on driveways, front doors, shops, offices and holiday homes, or as part of a broader alarm system. Remote live view, motion and voice alerts, local recording and two-way communication let you confirm what is happening on site and respond quickly, whether you are across town or overseas.

How it Works

Fit a SIM and power it: Insert a data SIM from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone, mount the camera on the supplied bracket and plug in the 12V 2A adapter.
Pair the app: Add the camera in the phone app over P2P. It comes up on 4G bands B1 to B40 with no router involved, so it works at a property with the broadband disconnected.
Set alerts and recording: Turn on motion detection to get a snapshot and a push alert, choose motion triggered or 24/7 recording to the microSD card, and use two way audio to speak to whoever is at the door.
