Description

Runtime is the number that decides whether a small camera is any use unattended, and this kit is built around it. The internal cell covers about four hours, a 10000mAh power bank stretches that to several days, and a 20000mAh one holds standby for up to ten.

The VIM-4GV94 pairs a 53.5 by 45 by 18.5mm 4G recorder with a button style lens on a 2m cable, so the lens sits flush in a panel or a fitting while the recorder stays where you can reach it. A Sony IMX323 sensor records 1920x1080, encrypted in transit, to a microSD card up to 256GB, which is roughly ten days of footage. Motion detection sends a push alert to Android or iOS, and the DC adapter enables continuous 24/7 recording.

Features

Anywhere connectivity: 4G SIM support enables live viewing and control without local Wi-Fi, so you can check in from virtually anywhere.
Discreet DIY lens: Button camera with 2m lead hides in clothing or fixtures for flexible, covert installs that suit temporary or permanent setups.
Flexible power & runtime: Run continuously on DC or a power bank, and rely on the built-in battery for short outages or mobile use.
Smart capture: Motion detection with push alerts focuses on events and notifies you instantly when activity occurs.
Secure, high-quality video: Full HD recording with a SONY IMX323 sensor and encrypted transmission helps protect detail and privacy.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

Equipment and plant you own

Fitted into a panel on your own machinery or plant, the button lens gives a fixed view of a control area or a loading point without a camera housing in the way.

Stockrooms and service counters

In premises you own or manage, the lens sits flush in a fitting above a counter or a stock shelf. Tell your staff it is there, which is both the lawful position and the one that deters.

Temporary sites with no network

A pop up stand, a site office or a container has no broadband. The 4G recorder and a power bank make the camera self contained for the length of the job.

How it Works

Fit the lens where you need the view: The button lens is designed to sit flush in a panel, a fitting or a piece of equipment on your own premises, with the 2m cable running back to the recorder.
Insert a data SIM: A 4G SIM with an active data plan is what makes it work. There is no WiFi mode, so the camera is independent of whatever network the site does or does not have.
Pick the power that matches the job: Four hours on the internal cell, several days on a 10000mAh power bank, up to ten days on a 20000mAh one, or plug in the DC adapter for permanent 24/7 recording.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which SIM card do I need?

A 4G SIM with an active data plan from any Australian SIM provider. Insert the SIM, power the unit and follow the app instructions for remote access.

How much video fits on a 256GB card?

About ten days at 1080p. Actual retention depends on how much movement there is and whether you record continuously or on motion only.

What are my power options?

The internal cell gives about four hours. A 10000mAh power bank runs it for several days, a 20000mAh one holds standby for up to ten, and the DC adapter supports permanent 24/7 recording.

How should I position the lens?

Mount it so the 90 degree field covers the area you care about without taking in a neighbouring property. The 2m cable lets you separate the lens from the recorder so the recorder stays accessible for card changes.

Can I watch live and save clips at the same time?

Yes. Live view runs over 4G while recording continues to the microSD card, so a dropped mobile connection does not cost you the footage.

What can I lawfully record with a camera like this in Australia?

Owning and wearing a camera like this is lawful in Australia, and so is filming in public places and on property you own or control. Surveillance devices laws differ by state and territory, and filming people where they expect privacy, such as a bathroom or bedroom, or recording a private conversation you are not part of, is generally not allowed. This is general information, not legal advice.
