Description

A small solar panel with a 1,500mAh lithium polymer cell inside, for keeping a trail camera or an outdoor security camera topped up rather than swapping batteries. Output is 7V DC at up to 800mA.

The panel is 0.4W, so it trickle charges through daylight and the internal cell carries the camera overnight. It is IP65 rated, 120 x 80 x 15mm, and can also be charged over USB-C at 5V 2A when there has been no sun.

Features

Never Change Batteries Again: 0.4W solar panel charges the 1500mAh Li-Po battery continuously during daylight
Power Any Camera: 7V/800mA output compatible with 4G trail cams, game cameras, and outdoor security cameras
Install in Minutes: Universal power cable connects to most trail camera DC ports; includes adhesive and mounting holes
Weather-Ready Build: IP65-rated enclosure protects against rain, dust, and outdoor temperatures
Backup Charging Option: USB-C port lets you top up the battery manually during extended low-light periods

Applications

Application Scenarios

Wildlife Monitoring

Your game camera is deep in the bush. Changing batteries means disturbing the area and missing activity.

This solar panel keeps it running for months. The 1500mAh battery stores enough power for overnight and cloudy days, so you never miss a shot.

Rural Property Security

Your 4G trail camera guards a remote gate or shed. Running power cables isn't an option, and battery swaps are a weekly chore.

Solar power means set-and-forget security. The panel provides continuous power, so your camera stays online sending alerts and footage.

Hunting Camp Surveillance

You leave cameras for weeks during season. Returning to dead batteries means lost scouting intel.

With solar, your cameras stay alive the entire trip. The built-in battery ensures power through rain or shade, so every movement is recorded.

How it Works

The solar panel converts sunlight to electricity, charging the internal 1500mAh battery. During the day, it powers your camera directly and stores excess energy. At night or in low light, the battery takes over. The universal DC output cable connects to most trail camera power ports, no wiring or modification needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Will this work with my 4G trail camera?

Yes. The 7V/800mA output is compatible with most 4G trail cameras. Check your camera's DC input requirements (usually 5-12V).

2. How long does the battery last without sun?

The 1500mAh battery typically powers a trail camera for 3-5 days without sunlight, depending on camera usage and temperature.

3. Is the panel waterproof?

Yes. IP65 rating means it's protected against dust and water jets, suitable for permanent outdoor mounting.

4. Do I need to buy extra cables or adapters?

No. The kit includes a universal DC cable with multiple tips and a USB-C charging cable. Everything you need is in the box.

5. Can I use this to charge other devices?

No. The output is fixed at 7V DC for trail cameras. It is not designed as a general-purpose power bank.

6. What's the warranty?

12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Solar panel output naturally degrades slightly over years of use.

Is there anything I need to know about using this legally?

Watching wildlife, stock and your own land with a camera like this is lawful in Australia. Surveillance devices laws differ by state and territory, and filming people where they expect privacy, such as a bathroom or bedroom, or recording a private conversation you are not part of, is generally not allowed. On public land, such as a national park or state forest, ask the land manager before you install anything. This is general information, not legal advice.
