Description

The VIM-WIFIP6 is an 8000mAh power bank with a 1080p camera in the body. It records video with audio to a microSD card and runs up to 35 hours continuously, which is a day and a half of unbroken cover from a single charge.

Automatic no-glow infrared reaches 7 to 10m, longer than most cameras this size, and the 75 degree lens covers a room from a fixed position. One button starts it. There is no app and no network to join, so it works anywhere.

Features

Up to 35 hours continuous: an 8000mAh cell records for a day and a half without a socket or a cable.
Infrared to 7 to 10m: automatic no-glow infrared with real reach, enough for a room or a hallway rather than a desk.
1080p with audio: 1920 x 1080 recording with a built-in microphone.
75 degree lens: a broad view from a fixed position, covering a room from a shelf or a bench.
Motion or continuous: motion mode stretches the operating time well past 35 hours by only recording activity.
One button operation: no app, no account and no menus. Press and it records.
128GB storage: microSD up to 128GB, read on any computer over USB.
It is a real power bank: 8000mAh charges your own devices.

Applications

Real-World Scenarios

A Day And A Half Of Unbroken Cover

Somewhere in a space you own that you need recorded from Friday night to Sunday morning. Thirty-five hours is what makes that one deployment rather than three.

A Dark Room Or Hallway

Infrared reaching 7 to 10m covers a hallway end to end after the lights go off, which shorter range emitters cannot do.

A Site With No Network At All

No app, no WiFi, no account. It works in a shed, a container or a building with no broadband, and you read the card afterwards.

How it Works

Charge and load: charge the 8000mAh battery over USB and fit a microSD card up to 128GB.
Choose the mode: continuous for up to 35 hours of unbroken recording, or motion detection to stretch the operating time much further.
Retrieve: connect it to a computer over USB or read the card directly. Infrared switches itself on as the light drops.

Specifications

Power: 5V, 2A maximum. Use the adapter supplied, or a standard 5V USB charger or power bank rated 2A or less. Do not use fast chargers (USB-C PD, Quick Charge, Super Fast Charging) or high-output power banks: they can damage the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use motion or continuous recording?

Continuous for an unbroken session of up to 35 hours, which is what the large battery is for. Motion mode records only activity and stretches the operating time considerably further.

What storage does it take?

A microSD card up to 128GB, not supplied. Files can be read on any computer for backup and review.

How good is the night vision?

Automatic no-glow infrared covering about 7 to 10m, which is long for a device this size. It records in a dark room without adding visible light to it.

How wide is the coverage?

75 degrees, broad enough to cover a room from one fixed position on a shelf or a bench.

Does it record sound?

Yes, with a built-in microphone. Audio is regulated more strictly than video in Australia, so keep it to spaces you control and to conversations you are part of.

Where can I legally use this?

Using a camera like this to protect your own home, business, property and family is lawful in Australia. Surveillance devices laws differ by state and territory, and filming people where they expect privacy, such as a bathroom or bedroom, or recording a private conversation you are not part of, is generally not allowed. If carers, cleaners, staff or guests use the space, tell them a camera is there. This is general information, not legal advice.
